Authorised water tankers resumed collecting from the Cullinan hydrant on 29 October after it passed turbidity tests, Tshwane says. That reopens a filling point for emergency deliveries across Regions 5, 6 and 7 while the Bronkhorstspruit treatment plant remains shut. City update, 29 October
For households waiting for water, the next question is where and when a tanker will arrive. Clearance at a filling point does not establish that every affected street has received a delivery. SBL has not independently verified household coverage.
What the restart changes
The new development follows SBL’s report on Ekangala’s tanker plan and delivery checks. It concerns the resumption of collection at Cullinan, rather than a new allocation of nine tankers or proof of completed routes.
Tshwane’s 29 October statement makes the treatment plant’s restart conditional on treatment, testing and safety requirements. It gives no guaranteed date for normal municipal supply. Residents affected by that shutdown are still directed to City-approved and verified tanker water. Latest statement reviewed
Request water or report a missed delivery
The City’s 20 October notice lists 012 358 9999 and 080 1111 556 for tanker requests and missed deliveries. Provide your name, street address, area and a nearby landmark. Flag anyone who needs help collecting water because of age, illness or disability.
Check subsequent notices on the City website or its official Facebook page, both identified in that notice. A confirmed local collection point and delivery time are more useful than assuming the regional restart means water has reached your street.
Pretoria CBD has a separate supply history
Tshwane lifted the Pretoria CBD boil-water advisory on 24 October after compliant results, following a switch to alternative supply from Salvokop. The City reaffirmed that decision on 28 October, while work continued on the Fountains groundwater source.
The 29 October update expected further post-chlorination results on 30 October before confirming full restoration of supply to Findlay Reservoir. That expected result is not a newly verified clearance. No later official result was located for this report. Findlay and Fountains update
